This week Flea Market Funk family, I bring one of the most well recognized New York personalities around. Bobbito Garcia aka DJ Cucumberslice aka Kool Bob Love aka Make it Happen is a busy guy. Well known from as a DJ, radio personality on WKCR, humanitarian, filmmaker, TV personality, sneaker connoisseur and street ball expert (serious baller people, on and off the court), I have the utmost respect for Bobbito. In my opinion, one of the ambassadors of music and beyond. This interview has been almost a year in the making, and with the release of his latest project: Doin’ It in the Park: Pick Up Basketball NYC, we are finally dropping it here at FMF. This is a unique individual who spins vinyl only, never brings the same records twice to a gig, and keeps a high profile without a cell phone. One of the great personalities to come out of NYC, and repping Harlem lovely, it is my distinct pleasure to have him on Big Ups this week.
