DJ Nu-Mark’s Broken Sunlight Needle

For those of you who have been following the last six single 10″ vinyl releases from DJ Nu-Mark’s Broken Sunlight Series you are in for a treat. Following the tradition of unique and boutique Hip Hop releases, Uncle Nu is releasing the full length in another special way: a USB stick in the shape of a turntable needle. This USB contains thirteen tracks from the aforementioned Broken Sunlight vinyl-only series plus clean versions, instrumentals, a capellas, bonus beats, AND exclusive tour photos, as well as the album artwork. Also included is a free download of the “Nu-Conduit” video documentary, a 50-minute tour and in-the-studio look into the world of Nu-Mark and his journeys.

“ A lot of things in my life were broken. My group broke up, my long term relationship broke up, the music industry and economy seemed to be broken. So it was time for me to take a break, and that’s where the title of the record stems from. It’s not so much I’m broken. I’m moving towards the sunlight these days. It’s more like a tale of perseverance and forging ahead through difficult times. ”

Broken Sunlight Features guests that including Bumpy Knuckles, Large Professor, J-Live, Aloe Blacc, Charles Bradley, Quantic, A-Skillz among others. It showcases Uncle Nu’s passions for many types of music including Hip-Hop, Funk and Cumbia. This is an artist who is an expert at his craft, dedicated to preserving good music throughout the globe while spreading love through music. It’s only fitting that along with the vinyl release of his latest effort he goes above and beyond to bring the listener and fan something special. Props to Uncle Nu and Hot Plate Records for this!
