Here’s a night that Flea Market Funk can get into. Two of NYC’s best DJs/ record people Monk-One aka Monk Uno aka Andrew Mason aka I have a lot of records that you don’t but love to share them and am not a record snob and E’s E of NYCTrust are back at it again. This time it is a journey through Colombian Rhythms and Vintage Reggae styles. Not your typical DJ night.
Take the pillow from your head and put a book in it
It’s time for the massive GRC crew at the top of the pile
“Greenwood Rhythm Coalition reunites and reignites back in Brooklyn after their December adventure in Colombian record stores and various places that don’t have wi-fi. The musical haul was massive and fruitful as has been hinted on the interweb pictorials since then.
Add in the burgeoning NYCT extension in the form of the Little-Dynasty-Kingston-Division workspace and the suitcases return well full of crackly recordings, anxious to be aired in the cozy confines of home base Brooklyn and shared with all our friends, fam & neighbors.”
Colombian & Jamaican International Sound Special
GRC (Monk-One & E’s E) plus Friends & Fam.
