Recently, I was asked to contribute to a very special mix exclusively for Valentine’s Day with Dust & Grooves for West Elm’s Front and Main culture blog. I got to pick two love songs that were on Spotify to help construct a playlist. Here’s what makes it so special: Eilon asked over 20+ past vinyl collectors who were featured in the past on the pages of Dust & Grooves to contribute as well. The result? Over three and a half hours of diverse love songs shared by some of the world’s best DJs, vinyl heads, and record collectors. For my two selections to the mix, I chose Gregory Porter’s “Pretty” as well a cover song ever of Roberta Flack’s “Feel Like Makin’ Love” done in a Reggae style by Elizabeth Archer and the Equators. So this week (or any week for that matter), grab a loved one and go to the link below. You will hear some of the best love songs picked by an amazing bunch of people who keep music near and dear to their heart, (not to mention their records as well!)
