De La Soul are legendary. Their loved by their fans. Have any doubts? Their Kickstarter campaign to release a new record had its goal met in a very short time. They still tour world wide as a group, headlining shows and festivals throughout the globe. They gave their back catalog away for free. Clearly, De La Soul is from the Soul, if we can quote them. Three dudes from LI who have carved out quite a niche for themselves in the music industry. Today, their classic 1991 jawn “Ring Ring Ring” gets the remix treatment from the one and only Rhythm Scholar. We get some slick samples from Curiosity Killed The Cat, The Honey Drippers, Kraftwerk, Fat Larry’s Band, Lou Johnson, The Rolling Stones, etc. behind the strong vocals of De La to make this relick bang. We are always into a good remix here at FMF, and RS hit it right on the head. We all know the group is really diverse with their samples, so its fitting that Rhythm Scholar packs a punch with the tracks he chose to sample for the edit. Put on your dancing shoes and move about, will you? Now for you the listener, download and play loud!
