Potatohead People & Posdnuous: Baby Got Work (Remix)

Always down to promote good music by good people, we’re excited with this new collaboration between the G.O.A.T.’s De La Soul and Canadian hip hop/ electronic duo Potatohead People and the latest banger in “Baby Got Work”. If you’re not ready to get up and dance, then wait until you are, because this thing will have you moving in no time.

Is it 2021 or are we throwing it back to when hip hop was fun on this one? With a bass line that snaps necks and a vibe that’s second to none, this one will be on blast from New York to Manchester and around the globe. Vibes for days! With a remix of the original (on the B-side of this record released in late 2020), Potato People link up with The Magnificent himself, Philly’s own Jazzy Jeff and legendary UK producer/ keyboard whiz Kaidi Tatham on a remix of the track. Both Jeff and Tatham elevate the level of energy on the remix, adding in some classic Jeff scratches, hard knock drums, and some Fender Rhodes to vibe this thing out to the fullest. That’s just the beat. Posdnuos gets busy on the rhymes and speaks freely about the grind and getting work. It’s not a story, it’s reality, as you know the brothers from the East have been bringing in the realness and putting in work since the 80s. Always working, always authentic, De La are the perfect group for this collab. We can’t stress enough how dope this track is. Work for change, put your head down and grind it out. “The soil is just as important as the seed”. Straight up facts. Listen to the record below and feel good today. Order the vinyl after the stream.
