‘Tis the season folks, and we here at Flea Market Funk can not pass up a good Christmas choon, especially if it’s skanking to the beat as well. The Blue Beaters get you into the spirit with a cover version of the classic “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus”. There have been some really great covers of holiday tracks in the past, and who doesn’t like a little ska a few weeks before the madness begins. Speaking of, Madness did a tune about the insanity of the holidays a while back which sums up this Black Friday mess (now going on in the UK, crazy!). Although it does get a bit nutty, it’s still a special time of the year. I mean, what do we really want for the holidays except to be healthy, spend time with our loved ones, and get a nice stack of wax under the tree? I’m sure as the holidays get closer, there will be more tunes released, but for now, you’ll have to put Italy’s favorite ska and rocksteady boys on repeat. You can only listen to Eartha Kitt so many times before you need to throw the radio in the rubbish bin. This tune is a FREE download as well. You can’t beat that with a bat. Enjoy.
