If you were like me when The Lesson came out and freaked out as a teen, you’re in for a treat. Recent Big Ups interviewee Smoove has payed tribute to Double Dee and Steinski’s “The Lesson” series with a little lesson of his own: LI’s own De La Soul. A nice little 5 minute tribute ‘Lesson’ style put on by Smoove himself. I know you will be able to recognize all of these samples throughout. I can’t wait for Lesson 2. Steinski would be proud.
