We were visited by Idle Minds not too long ago, a UK producer and remixer who is putting out some damn fine edits out of his camp. His edit of Isaac Hayes was one fine piece of work. This time he’s back with a combination that will get your head nodding, and may even move your feet a bit. He’s found a way to combine the super funk power of Breakestra, Kool G Rap, and Nas. You may say: there is no way you can mess with that combination. But he does, and the result works on a lot of levels. While we wouldn’t mess with Kool G or Nas solo, the combination of the two classic spitters on “Fast Life” makes changing it up even tougher. Idle Minds makes it work once again. This one is a funky fast trip through the life, a remix that we think both artists would approve with no problem. Keep your ears out for more Idle Minds in the future.
