December is here already, I can’t believe it. There are some cool things going on here at Flea Market Funk and I figured I’d let you know about it. First of all, tomorrow night in New York City, James Poole and I are celebrating the holidays early. Our freethinking nyc party, which has gone monthly, will be throwing it’s Holiday Bash over in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. If you’re out and about, remember that Santa Claus went straight to the Ghetto according to the Godfather. That’s where we’ll be! It’s a Funky Holiday theme (isn’t it always?), where we will be playing Gil Scott-Heron against the Klaxons and Guru up against Led Zeppelin, celebrating the diversity that is music, and it’s all FREE! Stop on by for a puff off the hukka and some great food and drink specials, and of course the MUSIC…..doors are at 9 PM.

Also, if you’re in the Jersey City area, DJ extraordinaire Pat James Long aka Primitive Sound System will be spinning the small records with the big holes at DC’s with long time side kick Bronco Billy Dolan. These two have quite the eclectic taste and quite the 45 collection, so you will be in for a treat! Look out for a FleaMarket Funk / Primitive Sound System collaboration as well in the near future!
