By now you all have heard about the untimely death of French DJ/Producer and Ed Banger staple DJ Mehdi at 34 years young. Peanut Butter Wolf released this today via Facebook:

“Damn Mehdi, how come I didn’t know about this till today:”

An homage to the late great J Dilla and his Donuts project, (one of the most legendary Hip Hop records in the last decade, with Jay Dee dying 3 days after it’s release), Mehdi has done his interpretation of the record. Donuts really solidified the short beat tape game (31 cuts in all), and forged a new path for many producers and beat makers of all kind since then.
