Dust & Grooves Super Sessions Tonight!

As our Kickstarter for the Dust & Grooves book project winds down (if you haven’t backed us yet there is still time!), we come to a huge event: The Dust & Grooves Super Sessions.

Dust & Grooves, the only project to document record collectors and the special bond they have with their vinyl collections, announces a one of a kind event: The Dust & Grooves Super Sessions.

In a show of solidarity to promote the preservation of vinyl records, Dust & Grooves has gathered a roster of international DJs and vinyl collectors to raise awareness for the Dust & Grooves Book Project. On Wednesday, August 8th, Mr. Finewine will host a powerhouse roster of eclectic DJs, all playing different, short, all vinyl sets to help raise funds for Dust & Grooves: The Book.

Among the DJs, who have never gathered in the same spot before, we have known selectors such as Mr. Finewine, Monk-One, Jonathan Toubin, Greg Caz, Akalepse, Small Change, DJ DB, Pat James Longo (Primitive Sounds System), Joel Stone (Tropicalia in Furs), DJ Prestige (Flea Market Funk), DJ Scribe (I Love Vinyl), Jeff Ogiba (Black Gold), Yale Evelev (Luaka Bop), Matt Mikas and more to be announced.

Come out for a night of solid music all on vinyl and to help create the world’s first photo book about vinyl record collectors and their collections.

I will be spinning an all 45 Funk set at 10:15. Look at this line up above. It’s just insane, and an honor to spin with some of these notable selectors. All these great DJs have not been in the same event together before, which is crazy. It’s going to be a really great time for a great cause: the promotion of everyone’s “Black Crack”: vinyl. Plus, the music is going to be outta sight all night baby. This line up is still growing as I write this. Here are the details:
