Recently, I was asked to contribute to a very special mix exclusively for Valentine’s Day with Dust & Grooves for West Elm’s Front and Main culture blog. I got to pick two love songs that were on Spotify to help construct a playlist. Here’s what makes it so special: Eilon asked over 20+ past vinyl collectors who were featured in the past on the pages of Dust & Grooves to contribute as well. The result? Over three and a half hours of diverse love songs shared by some of the world’s best DJs, vinyl heads, and record collectors. For my two selections to the mix, I chose Gregory Porter’s “Pretty” as well a cover song ever of Roberta Flack’s “Feel Like Makin’ Love” done in a Reggae style by Elizabeth Archer and the Equators.
