The boys over at Cannonball Records in Italy have been busy once again. This time they’ve unearthed another piece of history and a second seven inch from the Sander Sisters. After the success of the first sold out 45 “Stone Man”, you’d be smart to grab this limited edition 300 piece 45. Cannonball have proven that they can get their hands on some great unreleased funky and soul, so we are chomping at the bit to see what they will come up with after this heat.
This funky soul sister side has the drums to make you snap your neck. The gospel tinged vocals (complete with some clangy guitar behind) are very Marva, Sugar Pie, and even Etta-esque (in her funk period). There is no doubt that this record is one funky 45. The A side is the original demo version of the tune, with the B as the Club edit. With heavier drums and bass, this is guaranteed to push the sound system to the limit as well as keep the dance floor packed. Another sureshot from Cannonball, they’re now 2 for 2 with these releases. Check out both versions below.
