Aeon Seven – Soul Altitude

Now here is a forty five that is a serious contender for one of the best sevens of the year. Aeon Seven comes correct once again with the hot, hot heat on the 45 Live imprint with “Soul Altitude”. This would be the lucky 7th release for the label, and Seven’s second over all in their run of seven inches. This track is a groover with the oh so fat back drums meeting some super fuzzy bass, live horns (trumpet and slide trombone by Axel Touron ), and organ that just hit the sweet spot in the nicest way possible. Seriously, it’s most definitely a track that will get the dance floor bubbling and before you know it, it’s an all out frenzy. The flip, “Preliminary Battle” is a slower side, but stands out with a heavy, heavy dirty bass line, tighter than tight drums, as well as more organ for your money. It’s boom bap-ish, but seriously heavy on that bass, which stands out in the crowd on this one. It’s almost library music, as it could easily be fit in a television show or film score, Aeon Seven leading the charge in some car chase through the North of France. It’s gritty, and there is nothing wrong with that. Both tracks are fantastic efforts by the French DJ/ Producer, adding to his already dope catalog of heavy hitters. 45 Live breaks down the door once again and gets into your record box so you can get into people’s heads and feet for non stop head bobbing and dance floor shenanigans. Check out the stream below, and order the record after the link. More winning from the little label that could.
