Coming off of the latest release Good Good Things, Blundetto is back once again with some super feel good and soulful vibes for the masses with the single “Fly High”. Featuring the Morroccon siren Hindi Zahra on vocals, this single is a great lead up to the official start of summer. And although this year might be a bit different because of global circumstances, this track is the tune to usher us into what most people consider the best season. Invoking the spirits of Billie and throwing in a bit of her own style (which is sultry and soulful as well), she glides smoothly over Blundetto’s rootsy riddim and holds our hand as we drift away, flying as high as our mind can go. We also get a taste of two more tracks (a bonus) on the full length. “Sunday In The Club”, which is a mellowed out, horn-filled weekend jam that fits easily on any day of the week but keeps you grounded on an early Sunday morning no doubt, and “Paseo”, a Khruangbin meets Calexico easy lover that is ripe with guitar, piano, and much mellow horn, another road Blundetto goes down to show more of his musical prowess with. This record will be presented with a double Lp gatefold and there is also a seven-inch test press of the single available as well. Out on June 18th, this is a great record to kick your summer off to, bring your own libations. Stream all three tracks below and get the record after the stream.
