So here we are on a Friday, and I have been changing diapers like a madman. It may sound daunting to some people, but not me. Ever since the good people over at egotripland put me on to this DJ Format tune featuring Edan the other day, changing nappies has been so much easier. My son thinks so as well, as this song lets me “move like elephants: with grace and elegance” as he shimmys to some uptempo Hip Hop, entranced by the fuzzy guitar hook and circa ’88 drum break. I have to teach this young buck early, this is real Hip Hop. These are real artists making legitimate music, putting their heart and soul into each track. They are genuine. Now I just need to teach him to cut records with one hand, rapping with a mic in the other a la Edan. The video was directed by Tim Crawley and has some pretty sweet (albiet sped up) skating through the London. Play. Repeat. It’s Friday.
