It’s been about 9 months since Jim Sharp dropped Straighten It Out Vol. 1. The mix was well received here on Flea Market Funk as well as the record community in general. He just dropped Volume 2, and it’s even better. Sharp has a penchant for on point mixing, good beats, and tight cuts. This blend of re-worked Hip Hop beats blended with original Soul tunes is just what the doctor ordered. Sharp has since taken over the residency The Paradise (taken over for Ali B) in the UK, where you can hear blends and tracks like this on a weekly basis. He hasn’t included a track list on this mix, but will be dropping single edits from time to time. Keep an ear out for that.
