The Dust & Grooves Road Trip: Digging For America’s Finest Vinyl Collectors

It’s been about a year in the making, but The Dust & Grooves Road Trip: Digging For America’s Finest Vinyl Collectors is finally here. After last year’s successful Kickstarter campaign which will give us Dust & Grooves: Adventures In Record Collecting in 2014, photographer Eilon Paz and the Dust & Grooves team will be going on month long plus road trip across the United States. The purpose of the this trip is to document and photograph vinyl record collectors throughout the U.S. and gather more material for the upcoming book project. During the trip, Dust & Grooves will also be partnering up with independent vinyl record companies, artists, and labels to celebrate and promote the vinyl record medium through The Big Vinyl Giveaway. Along the route, daily giveaways will be hidden at record stores and music related stops. Once planted, clues will be dropped on our social media outlets and website to help you find the giveaways. By the end of the trip, we will raffle off a Tucker & Bloom Rich Medina 45 bag full of vinyl goods we would pick in our travels to one lucky person.

We all know that the United States is rich with vinyl record history, so this trip is an important part of the documentation of vinyl record culture in the modern day. This road trip starts in Brooklyn, NY and will take the team to over 20 vinyl record destinations such as Chicago, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, New Orleans, and many spots in between. If you would like to meet up with the team while they are on the road, check out some of the events they will be a part of, or be involved in The Big Vinyl Giveaway, get more information on the official page of the Dust & Grooves Road Trip.
