Shred One and her husband Andrew aka Meaty Ogre run the very excellent Cherries Records label, putting out the best in Modern Funk, Soul, and R & B. They have been putting out bangers for more than a minute. When I interviewed Andrew in his Big Ups, they were repping The Windy City, but since have become NYC residents, repping Ridgewood, Queens and are a part of the DJ crew residing in that borough. We can honestly say, that this is the first husband and wife DJ team we have interviewed here in Big Ups on Flea Market Funk. A first. We are excited to have Sheila here representing the ladies this week. We’re committing to getting a few more female DJs in Big Ups this year as well, so keep an eye out for them.
