Flea Market Funk x The Leadbelly NYC

It seems the good folks over at The Leadbelly like what I was throwing down last Saturday night and invited me back for some more 45 goodness. I’ll be bringing a grip of funky jazz, soul, and raw funk instrumentals to groove to all night. You can expect favorite sides like Jake Wade & The Soul Searchers “Searching For Soul” and some not so known stuff like High Society Brothers “Don’t Spill the Wine” with all kinds of gritty and greasy funk, soul and heavy drum 45s in between. The Leadbelly is a dope spot. Very intimate with a great atmosphere, finely crafted cocktails, and great menu. Their DJ roster is impressive, with cats like Monk-One, Edan (The Humble Magnificent), and Chances With Wolves DJs gracing the decks on other nights. Plus it’s in Chinatown on the fringe of the LES, so parking is great if you’re driving. I’ll be playing the back drop for your Saturday evening in NYC starting at eleven. Stop on by.
