Whoo wee people. One of the best releases of 2013 is now available on vinyl through the good peeps over at Slice-of-Spice in collaboration with Headbop Music. Kid Tsunami’s future classic The Chase record raised eyebrows and had heads nodding and necks snapping all over the globe. Tsu linked up with a classic lineup of all stars to lay down 16 tracks of pure goodness. Including DJ Bless, KRS-One, Kool G Rap, Masta Ace, Pharoahe Monch, Bahamadia, Kool Keith, Chubb Rock, Percee P, and more. If you like your beats hard like three day old shit, then you’re in for a treat. If you are just stumbling onto this record for the first time, you’re in for a treat. A record that may have flown under the radar for most, we are excited to be able to get this record on vinyl at last! This is one of those records that years later, people are going to be pissed for sleeping on it when it’s three digits and cats have to dig deep in their pockets to get a copy. And as always, Slice-of-Spice has a variety of limited edition goods (500 pressed up and dope art by Fred Whyte) for you to choose from. Black vinyl, color vinyl, or test press, all bases are covered. All collaborators are a household name, and as we speak, Slice-of-Spice is on that same tip. Their collaboration bar gets raised every time they put out a record. That being said, we can not wait for the SOS/ De La Soul project that has been talked about on social media this past week. Indie hip hop labels take note: get your weight up, SOS is taking over big time. 34 vinyl releases in three years. All proper, all boutique, and all highly collectable. As KRS-One spits on this record: “These are the facts.”
