For those of you who didn’t make it down to the first installment of the Dust & Grooves Vinyl Residency over at Donna in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, you are all in luck. D & G founder Eilon Paz is documenting each special night of music, and had his trusty Tascam to capture 3 hours of the Funk From The Five Boroughs set we laid down last Thursday. We ran through some funky 45s from each of the five boroughs as well as many of our favorite funk and soul tunes from our collection pulled from our Tucker & Bloom Rich Medina bag. Donna is an intimate cocktail lounge that not only mixes up a good drink, but serves some of the best tacos we have ever had. The vinyl residency runs until February 5th, so come by and hear selectors like Greg Caz, DJ Scribe, Natasha Diggs, Sheila Burgel, and others give the audience a different listening experience each week.
