KLIM Beats – Dusty

KLIM Beats DustyMore than anything, what we like here at FMF is an artist or producer that stays in his own lane. That’s what you get from KLIM Beats. The Ukranian producer, with influences from NYC and Detroit’s boom bap generation shines right through on his latest release Dusty. This sixteen track, Dilla style offering (short and to the point beats) is a smooth trip y’all need to take. Chock full of hard hitting drums and slick samples, the beatmaker is sure to have your head nodding in no time. Tracks like “Shabaduba” and “Your Love” are built around quiet storm samples. “Winter Leaves” and “Big Deal” have a knock that reminds us of early DJ Krush tracks. “C’Mon” could be a nod to Preemo, those drums hit hard and the piano sample leaves room for a Guru spit (R.I.P). There are a lot of diverse samples on this effort, from late night R & B grinders to some flute on “Jealousy” and a soundtrack feel on “A Walk In The Park”. One of our fave tracks is the closer, “Night Trains”. Dark and mysterious, it sounds like some DJ Honda meets M.O.P. who spent the whole day hanging out with Clutchy Hopkins. If you haven’t heard KLIM Beats, here’s your chance to get acquainted with his 13th release. Catch an ear full from this talented producer and beat maker. Listen to the release below.
