BENJAMIN – N-E-E-D-L-O-V-E | Flea Market Funk

For their first full length on Cherries Records, BENJAMIN drop a video for the tune “N-E-E-D-L-O-V-E”. We had a taste of this duo back in the Summer with the 7″ of “Those Memories”, and since then, people have wanted more. This particular side is a funk jam of the electro kind, complete with retro drum machine, grand piano, and synthesizers. BENJAMIN gives us an inspired track that we can not just all not our head to, but relate to just the same. It’s a different direction than a lot of artists today, and their modern funk/ soul sound is absolutely one that we love to hear more of at FMF. To accompany the track, the duo have put out a video as well. Filmed in Ridgewood, Queens, the video has cameos of a who’s who in the NYC funk, soul, and indie record scene. You might know some or all of these talented cats who grace your screen, all to a BENJAMIN soundtrack through the city. A feel good side that just makes you smile, it’s an 80’s sound all souled out with a beautiful message for all. Check the video below:
