Dancehall heroes, if you loved the illustrations on those great JA pressings, you’re familiar with the art of Wilfred Limonious. Known for his great covers such as Super Cat’s Si Boops Deh and the Stalag Riddim LP (come on, dancing rats!), you can now own every single one of his covers in book form in In Fine Style: The Dancehall Art of Wilfred Limonious. Limonious is best know for his cartoon style, often provacative content, and those bubbles baby. Put out by One Love Press, who has previously released a must have as Clarks in Jamaica, this book is essential to any fan of reggae, and especially you ’80’s dancehall lovers. For those who aren’t aware and want to get aware of his work, Reggae Album Covers has some of his best work posted here. Here’s a few of our faves:
This one is going on our shelves, no question.
The book will be released March 2016. More One Love releases here.
