As we start the year of 2016 off, Redefinition Records keeps it moving still with a triple threat track featuring the mighty K-Def, Damu the Fudgemunk, and AG (of DITC /Showbiz & AG). Coming off the full length instrumental opus The Unpredictable Gemini, this track is one of many bangers coming off not just one, but two records the most consistent producer in the game since the ’90’s is dropping on the same day in 2016. Although this album is instrumental, this particular bonus track has the first collaboration with AG and a vocal appearance from K’s friend Damu.
“I want you to know that the sounds on this album display some of my true inner feelings about music & life. With the advancement of technology and my knowledge of using all kinds of recording equipment dating back to the late 80’s, I present to you the unpredictable Gemini.”
We love this feel good beat to take you away. The drums hit hard and the subtle vibes elicit warm feelings. Whatever is going on, it transports me back to summertime, or surrounded by a room full of dusty records I’m about to tear through. If a track does that to you, takes you to another place, it’s powerful. While new producers grab the trends of a certain sounds, blips, or electronic trap bits, this kind of beats separate K-Def from the rest. This is a simple but complicated beat, and you know K-Def likes to dig deep. If you’re a crate digger, you get it. Even if you’re not, you can appreciate the craftmanship of this head nodder. This is the feel good track of 2016 we are championing, and we’re gonna play it loud to remind us when the stress gets too much, you just gotta get away. Whether it’s getting away into your vinyl, your writing, your beats, or what ever you do, take that break and get that time with you. Make sure to take K-Def with you. This record is available on a split, 2 tone color (red) 12″ Lp, which is the cherry on top. Check the track below, and be willing to just play it all day, it’s that good.
Pre-order the record here which will ship to you mid January before the official January 29th release day.
Keep Diggin’!
