Big Crown is releasing a grip of new artists and sound as of late, and the latest from Shateish on the Plane Jane imprint is one you will need. The soul and R & B artist gets a little hip hop on this tribute to Etta James which is produced by Nottz (Busta Rhymes, G Unit, Pusha T, Dilla). Flipping and updating this classic with a dope back beat and gritty vocals by Shateish, the Norfolk, VA singer gets down on this 7″. Shateish isn’t even trying to hide her ferocity on this one, she’s doing it right in the open. We’re hyped up on this track, and you should be too. Nottz is a consistent producer that has put his touch on a lot of different releases during his career which makes this R & B/ hip hop soul track a definite keeper. We’re anticipating more tracks like this and hopefully more projects with Nottz on Plane Jane in the future. For now, nod your head to this and let Shateish take you away with this one.
