As Summer starts to get moving, we are excited once again to highlight a record that like some of these releases lately, remind us of summer and will go along nicely in your summer sets. This particular record, which is out now on the illustrious Names You Can Trust label aka NYC Trust, is something special. From Buenos Aires, guitarist Rolando Bruno got his start in an Argentinian punk and garage band called Los Peyotes. His music took a turn and has moved into Afro-Peruvian Psicodelico, which is what we have here today. With just a guitar and his own backing tracks, Bruno jet setted all over the world, laying down his own sound, and finally landed a full length on Swiss label Voodoo Rhythm. This track is originally from 2011, but remastered and put on 45 by the lads at NYC Trust. With a latin tinged recipe of tropical, chicha, and cumbia mixed in with some fuzz and psyche, this tune is a perfect summer concoction. We’re hooked to this sound and can easily hear it cranked up at a beach bar as often as a dance-able latin night. Have a listen to the track itself, and visit the NYCT site for more info and getting a copy of the record.
