After a three year hiatus, the Canadian duo of Nick Wisdom & AstroLogical aka Potato People have returned with new material. Fans of the band rejoice! After some acclaim in 2015 with Big Luxury as well as production credits on the Illa J record, there has been radio silence. However, now it’s all changed. The first sign of new life has been released, and it’s in the form of the new track “Quest For Love” from their upcoming May 11th release on Bastard Jazz called Nick & Astro’s Guide To The Galaxy. Steeped in heavy, head nodding, hip hop drums, this laid back track is filled with so much feeling as Fender Rhodes chords are laid on top and the duo add beautiful vocal layers over an already superb musical adventure. It’s a trip through their galaxy, lamenting on what could or could have been in a relationship, or is it?. Along the way, this down tempo ride through time and space is exactly what you need in your life right now. Perfect for those hip hop heads that enjoy the neck snapping beats just as much as the people who just want to relax and chill out, “Quest For Love” fills in all the gaps in between as well. A sonic landscape shaped perfectly for your ears, this little piece of the big heat rock should suffice for now. Championed by everyone from Big Boi to Kaytranada, their world wide fan base will be delighted that this new single is everything and a whole lot more.
