And it’s Mukatsuku who branch out in their portfolio of deep and dope cuts that are delivering the message to your ears. Today’s side is from Katalyst and features Steve Spacek with “How ‘Bout Us”. This Australian producer/DJ put out this side in ’07 via the Invada label on the long player What’s Happening. It was picked up by ear to the street and well known taste makers BBE a year later. We completely love this track. A driving boom bap beat with soulful vocals, strings arrangement, horns and more. With it’s horn driven hook and heavy drums, Spacek goes right into Curtis Mayfield territory from the get go and completely slays the track. This one has that timeless feel people, and if you aren’t familiar with this track, then please get familiar. The production on this track is bananas. Dance floor filler for sure. This record has never been released as a single, and features a never before unreleased instrumental version on the B-Side. Completely worth it. Listen to the track below:
