Basement Freaks, who have been down with the funk for quite some time get right to the point with a funk instrumentation version of the already fire track “White Hot”. Giving it some down home style guitar as well as funky organ and fat back drums pushes this re-lick to the next level of funkness. Featuring vocals from Kylie Auldist (The Bamboos, Cookin’ On 3 Burners), it’s a sure shot all the way. The flip, is a reworking of John Turrell’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again”. This vocals from this soulful track are amped up to an electro funk jammy jam that hits hard. If you’re unfamiliar with John Turrell, the front man from the massive Smooth & Turrell band out of Newcastle, UK, then please get familiar. Known to bring the funk and soul hard, this track gets elevated to dance floor masher as Basement Freaks takes it higher and higher. That trumpet throughout is a really dope touch as well. Two bad ass joints on one record. We dare you to not sit still when both are playing.
