True Loves – Famous Last Words

What we have here today is not a failure to communicate, because when the True Loves get it together and lay it down, the communication between band and audience is crystal clear. The True Loves, who have made quite a name for themselves in the funk and soul scene are back again. This time it’s on powerhouse label Colemine Records, who give bands on the funky side a place to showcase their sounds, and have been a proven label that churns out quality records in all genres. With a classic sound and grooves that make the body move, the True Loves are not just true loves, but true professionals in everything they do. Featuring all three original members of the Delvon Lamarr Trio, these tracks are tougher than tough. A must for all funk champions, “Famous Last Words” is on our list (again) as one of those tracks. A track that will be around for a long time. It’s a stone cold groove people, and if you missed it before, now is a chance to grab this heater while you can. The flip, “The Dirty” is a low down dirty groove that earns its wages in stanky funk. We are thrilled that these cats are working with Colemine Records, and be sure to look out for the full length of the same name that will be getting reissued later on this year. Colemine shoots a three and scores from deep once again. Listen to the track below and order the record from Colemine after the stream. Here’s some famous last words from Flea Market Funk: these guys are here to stay. Mark our words.
