Shake! Brooklyn x Break Beat Lou

It’s that time of the month again people, the third Saturday of each month is upon us. That means one thing in Brooklyn: Shake! The party that is close to three years strong with residents Prestige and Monk-One is back with a bang and another certified legend as the monthly guest. This month we welcome the one and only Break Beat Lou. Lou has been instrumental (to say the least) in DJ culture, and he and Break Beat Lenny’s vinyl record series Ultimate Breaks and Beats are responsible for elevating the culture to its highest levels. Any DJ worth their salt played these records live, in production, and have learned from them. They are the stepping stones for vinyl DJs. I wouldn’t have had doubles of classics at first if it wasn’t for these records. So it’s with great pleasure and honor that he’ll be the guest at Shake! Brooklyn tomorrow night in Crown Heights. He is The Genuine Article, Mr. “Keep Em’ Dancing”, and of course always has a double of soemthing to rock, he’ll be lighting the dance floor on fire with a special set for the people. For those of you who don’t know about Shake!, we do it every third Saturday of the month at Friends and Lovers in Brooklyn. It’s a safe space to be you. No jerks, no idiots, no bullshit. It’s all about the music, it’s all about the dancing, and of course it’s all about the people too. Join us for what will be another memorable evening at Shake!. Upcoming guests include Buscrates in July and Disco Tom Noble in August. Two more you will not want to miss either.
