When you’re feeling like you might need a pick me up, B Bravo is an artist that is just the man for the job to to that. The Los Angeles funk maestro has just dropped his Cosmic Mind EP and if this thing doesn’t grab you by the hands and and have you dancing, you might want to go back to bed. His outer space and interstellar boogie funk vibes have been rockin’ it, rockin’ it for over a decade from the bounce of Analog Starship in 2009 to the bop of this release right here in 2020. The record opens up with “Atomic Bounce”, a talk box filled G Funk synthesizer and percussion storm that would make any funk lover stop in their tracks to nod their head. That sax solo on the way out gets us every time. A great start to the record already. Sliding right into “Please Oh Please”, this driving bass filled rocket swings with even more talk box and a chorus that gets right into your space suit with you. Once again, that bass though. Listen for it. “Two 2 Tango” is a lickle bit of the quiet storm with synths and a true ‘80’s slow and low vibe. More for that late night grind (with a bit of bump), it fits nicely with the other two. The last track on the record, “Come Thru On Tha One” is that party track to end the record. Put on your roller skates and your satin jacket because it’s Saturday night at the roller rink y’all. This man is all about having a good time, vibing with your friends, and of course dancing (with or without rollerskates). A Shake! worthy record if we have ever heard one, get into the groove with B Bravo right now. Stream the EP below and buy after the stream.
