Chronixx Feat. Sampa The Great – Black Is Beautiful

Sometimes you can’t make great things better, but you can show them in a different light. That’s the case here kids, as we have two beautifully remixed tracks by an artist you should have had on your radar for a minute. But if you haven’t, that’s ok. One of our favorite modern-day reggae artists, Chronixx get a remix treatment here on two different tracks, First up we have “Black Is Beautiful”, a track taken from his Grammy-nominated debut record Chronology. On this side, we get a Jamaica to Zambia connection or vice versa, as Zambian’s Sampa the Great adds many flavors to this slow burner that makes the listener think. We are feeling this, it’s wonderfully done, and if you have not dipped your toes in the Sampa the Great waters, we urge you to do so. A true talent of today. Chronixx has also been doing big tings for quite some time. This is on some conscious vision tip, so pay very close attention. Now if the A got you going, the B will add even more fuel tp the fire on this record. This powerful collaboration between Rwandan-New Zealand’s Raiza Biza with Sudanese-American artist Oddisee and Jamaican dancehall artist Zenyth on “Trouble” (taken from Raiza Biza’s Bygone record is super dope). With a flow that brings it back to the Motherland and a nod to the past struggles as well as struggles of today, this is a great interpretation of the original. Both tracks add up to one powerful seven inch. If you are into reggae and like an authentic touch with a modern feel of a remix to it, this limited edition 45 is just for you. Keep on supporting independent and real music, this is one example of that 100%. Listen to both tracks below and get the record after the stream.
