Shake the dust off those dancing shoes and get busy with ATA Records. It’s their first time dipping their toes into the pool of the disco machine and with this one, it sounds like they’ve been making asses shake for a long time. Here’s United Disco Organization’s “Send The Rain”.
With a bass line that could wake up the dead, ATA Records give us a killer track conceived by producer/bassist Neil Innes and guitarist/singer Chris Dawkins. This dance floor monster is very reminiscent of underground disco movements from labels like Salsoul and some of the sounds coming out of The City of Brotherly Love. With vocals from Chris Dawkins and some funky flute from Tony Burkill, this one is going to have butts shaking from Leeds to Bangkok in no time. This future global classic will sell out no doubt, so if you know what’s good for you (and Flea Market Funk does), you’ll get this 12″ and play it until the wheels fall off. It’s not every day that a record comes out like this. ATA has tackled library, funk, soul, African. and more. Now it’s time for them to step up to the dance floor and they’ve smashed it. With both the club cut and instrumental, this record is ready for action. Listen to the track below and pre-order after the stream. Solid Gold people, solid gold.
