Fat Boys Pizza Vinyl & Biz Picture Disc

It looks like Get On Down’s success with the Fat Boys Pizza Box CD was so successful that the demand for the vinyl version was inevitable. In fact, it’s going to be available on the November 23 edition of Record Store Day. Ha Ha Ha Stick Em! This vinyl only release in conjunction with Traffic Entertainment is a reissue of the Fat Boys 1984 debut. Here are some of the features:

-An eye-popping reissue of the New York trio’s groundbreaking 1984 debut album. Sides A and B feature vividly realistic pictures of the top and bottom of a pizza.
-The set comes with a 20-page liner notes booklet (compiled by reissue producer Noah Uman, including input from group members, former manager Charles Stettler and others close to the band).
-A download card for bonus materials
-The set is housed in an actual Fat Boys-branded cardboard pizza box.
-Limited edition of 2,000.

For those who have missed it, or got their copy lost in the mail, (Elliot Wilson where you at?) your Fat Boys collection now can be complete.

There is also a Biz Markie picture disc scheduled for release as well. Here’s the details on this one:

“The Biz Never Sleeps” Picture Disc (Vinyl only): This impressive reissue of Biz’s sophomore album from 1989 (Cold Chillin’) includes artwork used on the original LP issue (photos by George DuBose) and a postcard that plays Biz’s “Just A Friend” on any turntable. Limited edition of 1,500.”

Yes Please.

Available at your favorite local independent record store (which you should support every day, not just record store day).
