Jungle Fire Remix: Afro Beat Meets Ska

Jungle-Fire-Remix

Oooh weee do I love when some of my past featured artists here on Flea Market Funk get together and do a remix! This latest remix of Jungle Fire’s “Tokuta” off of Colemine Records gets the re-working by Grant Phabao and Paris DJs featuring past FMF alum Guillaume Méténier aka Soul Sugar. Phabao is a producer and multi-instrumentalist and has been called the best sound engineer in Paris. There is a reason for that, the man puts in work people. He’s been steady releasing singles consistently with artists like The Cactus Channel, George Clinton, Ebo Taylor, Lee Fields, Antibalas, The Soul Jazz Orchestra and more. Guillaume Méténier is the man behind the successful organ outfit Soul Sugar, profiled on this very site a short time ago. The two combined together to smash up this Colemine release. Here’s what their latest press had to say about this joint effort:

“Jungle Fire and Grant Phabao’s musical universes collide with style & fashion on this brand new Paris DJs single featuring the magical keys of Guillaume Méténier aka Soul Sugar. The resulting combination is a unique ‘Afrobeat meets Ska’ concept, a blend of styles from L.A. to Paris creating a bridge between South America, Nigeria and Jamaica! An explosive dancefloor filler for sure.”

Do not miss out on this one! Pure fire from Paris……

Keep Diggin’!
