This came down the pipe recently and we wanted to share it with the Flea Market Funk masses. Friend of FMF Mike Zweyer aka This Is Tomorrow has a new mix out. It’s not just any mix. On October 21st, he opened up for Charles Bradley at Rockhal in Luxembourg and we’ve got the audio from his warm up gig. Mike is a talented drummer, DJ, producer, and crate digger who was one of the first guys to get at me when we started here at Flea Market Funk. He’s got great taste in music, has dug up some great gems, and from the sound of this mix; he rocked the crowd at Rockhal. This is a live, one take, all 45 mix done with original vinyl. No MP3s were harmed in the making of this mix. In a world of Big Willie 45 style, Mike is like a ninja. Silent and thorough, he plays and mixes great music the way it should be done. There is a superb mix of classic drum breaks, hard to get 45s, and party rocking joints that are blended seamlessly and tastefully. From Placebo to The Chosen Few, he’s got you covered. I’m sure Charles Bradley was grooving as well, especially to that Eddy Jacobs Exchange among others. So sit back, take your shoes off, turn up the volume to 10, and groove courtesy of This Is Tomorrow.
