Tonight in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, we are bringing the Flea Market Funk brand of funky goodness to a new venue: Project Parlor. Situated in the heart of Bedford Stuyvesant, tonight is an extended six hour set of funk, soul, jazz, and latin forty fives. We are armed and ready to drop some 7″ gems all night. It may be cold out tonight, but the record bags are full of heat, and best of all it’s FREE. It’s always great to get into a new spot, especially in Brooklyn, and Project Parlor has been making a name for themselves for quite a while. In the summer months, their large backyard is host to a myriad of bands and DJs, but for now you will have to grab a drink (get the mulled cider), kick back, and listen to a variety of funky gems put on by FMF. This is a one off, but if it works out, we will be heading back, so if you’re in the Brooklyn area, do feel free to stop in.
