Common Sense – Resurrection 45

unnamed (6)The Get On Down Jukebox series continues with the next in their 45 hip hop release. This time we travel back to 1995 and Common’s (When he was Common Sense) classic track “Resurrection”. In true Get On Down style, they do it different (and better) than most. Featuring the Extra P and Large Professor remix of “Resurrection”, both of these tracks have never before been featured on a 7″ or 12″ together and of course were remixed by the Large Professor himself.

That was one of two singles off the album. I really felt like I was being born again, to people who weren’t familiar with me. I felt like I was coming up from the dead, the dead of not being heard.- Common

This latest jukebox release is featured on clear vinyl, and for those who jumped in on the series early, it fits perfectly in the Get On Down jukebox binder and plastic sleeves. The artwork for the record is taken from the original release, so you still get some of the original magic in the packaging. Either way, grab this special release and file it under hip hop. Great to see another classic unearthed by Get On Down in this in demand series.
