The Soul Jazz Orchestra – Courage

SJO_ResistanceWith a new full length Resistance on the way September 4th, The Soul Jazz Orchestra drops a third single from the record. Following up “Shock and Awe” and “Bull’s Eye”, “Courage” is another hard hitting, horn filled, ass shaker of a track. The SJO go all out, similar to their previous releases and keep the tempo up on this one. Incorporating French Caribbean riddims with their Afro soul, jazz, and funk sounds, this album is not just about the dance floor. Delving deep into social awareness and and activism, as the record’s name suggests, they’re ready to fight back. Their weapon of choice is their music. They’re fighting the good fight and winning. We’ve been huge supporters of The Soul Jazz Orchestra here at FMF, and on this latest effort they do on disappoint. Check out the video for “Courage” below. They will be supporting this record on September 12th at the All Canadian Jazz Festival in Port Hope, Ontario. Check out more info about that festival here.

Pre-order the record here.

Keep Diggin’!
