It’s Friday and we are ready for the weekend, so why not lace the FleaMarket Funk family with a premiere of a very dope collaboration. We’re talking about another certified banger from Redefinition Records. This East Coast/ West Coast lineup is a future classic for sure. With Blu on the lyrics spitting over the 45 King’s production, the catchy hook is soon to lead this side to be another anthem. Reminiscent of the Jay Z “Hard Knock Life” that 45 King put his Midas touch to, Blu is pulling “100 gems out of one dime sack” while 45 King is more than on point as usual. For us, this very special collaboration gets your ear from the jump off. The sample is catchy, the drums are crisp, and bass line can be described in one word: sick. Both of these artists resumes are deep, and while Blu’s West Coast style has been hitting heads for well over ten years, 45 King has not stopped doing quality production since day one. He’s a legend that continues to push the envelope, and it’s evident. Like they say, game recognize game, and both of these cats games are tight. The rap game is missing an anthem. A real anthem. Not some rap pop track that is catchy, but a track that is an anthem. And we’re not talking about Tracey Lee (no offense to Tracey). It’s refreshing when a track like this comes down the street, head nodding, winking at fly girls, and walking with some dap. That dap is “Pocket Full Of Miracles”. Redef has pressed this 7″ on clear vinyl with the artwork done by Joe Buckingham (De La Soul, Staple) so the visual aesthetic is tight as well. Do not miss out on this 7″, it is going to be huge. It’s in limited quantities as well. Available on 3/11/16, pre-order link past the track. Stream “Pocket Full Of Miracles” below.
