Fresh Hats Tight Beats – So Many Things

fresh-tight-beatsFresh Hats Tight Beats is a Nashville, Tennessee based outfit who play quality, cinematic, instrumental hip hop soul. This collective gathered a while ago at Studio-T in Denver, CO to put together a full length that opens eyes and ears. With the spirits of artists like DJ Shadow, RJD2, as well as instrumental Beastie Boys tracks guiding their way, these fine gentlemen have created a psychedelic slice of soundtrack soul for you to nod your head to. They are raising money to get a proper, limited and very custom release on Kickstarter, but have let four tracks out to the public, with more tracks being released as they get closer to funding the vinyl project. So far, tracks like “Difference Engine”, propelled by heavy drums and guitars and combining some heady synth work, as well as the atmospheric “Parallel Circuits, which could have been a lost track from The Virgin Suicides, along side “Waiting Room” and the title track “So Many Things” are top notch in our book. Leaving the door open to weave in an out of tight drums, percussion. and a wall of sound, Fresh Hats Tight Beats is a team we are getting on in the ’17. Atmospheric and powerful like changing weather patterns, the music is layered precisely and perfectly to be pleasing to your ears. With the Kickstarter project, there are many levels of premiums, but the vinyl is what you want. Limited edition vinyl in clear white swirl, plus a hand screened cover. There are also other options that get you their back catalog of 45s as well, plus digital files, and the list goes on. Don’t let this genuine and interesting project pass you by. Check out the tracks below, and back them after the jump. Fresh Hats Tight Beats are here to stay. Long live cinematic instrumental hip hop psychedelic soul.
