Tomorrow night in the borough of Brooklyn in NYC, we celebrate a night of good people, good music, and the records that make you shake. Eight months old already, the Shake! party (DJ Prestige x Monk One) gives you classic NYC dance vibes from start to finish. Deep funk, proto disco, disco, early rap and many other classics are spun on 45 rpm vinyl all night. From old club heads, to B-Boy crews, to dancers to people who just want to have a night of no stress in a safe environment, there is room for everyone at this party. Summoning the spirits of places like The Loft, The Paradise Garage, and The Roxy among others, both DJs dig deep in their forty five crates to bring some of the best music for crowds to move to. This month, we have the G Man back on the mic, who will help you navigate your way through this journey into sound.
