Cosmic Analog Ensemble – Les Sourdes Oreilles

It seems that the soundtrack game just keeps getting better and better these days, and with excellent releases from talented folks like Hampshire and Foat among others, comes the Cosmic Analog Ensemble. Produced by Charif Megarbane, a one man band, multi instrumentalist from Lebanon, it was recorded live, track after track. This thing is spectacular. With sounds along the lines of the greats such as Piero Piccioni, Alain Goraguer, François De Roubaix, Galt Macdermot, David Axelrod and more, this funky, psych filled, jazz and rare groove bastion of tunes will cure your original soundtrack blues.

Les Sourdes Oreilles” is a long artisanal goldsmith work, cooking occidental classic jazz funk tradition into an afro-oriental kitchen. It’s what make this release so awesome, unique and necessary to our deaf ears.

This is one of the best cinematic records we have come across in a minute, and we are proud to introduce to the Flea Market Funk family today. The project is available in a variety of ways: including several vinyl packages, some which contain color vinyl and an exclusive print, as well as a cassette version. The vinyl project is limited to 300 pieces so this 12″ will go fast. Artwork by the illustrious Jerk 45.

Preview four of the tracks below and pre-order after the stream.

Pre-Order the record here, available from My Bags on July 14th here.

Keep Diggin’!
