It’s Halloween and who doesn’t like some gruesome tales? Well, in the spirit of the day, but not in a scary way (ok maybe a little), Mike Judge (Beavis & Butthead/ King of the Hill) will be dropping the second season of Tales From The Tour Bus on Friday November 2nd at 10pm on Cinemax. While the first season focused on music legends such as Johnny Paycheck, Jerry Lee Lewis, Waylon Jennings, and others, the new season’s next stop is the Funk. Profiling such funk luminaries such as George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, Rick James, Betty Davis, Morris Day, and James Brown, this season looks to be even more epic. George Clinton will serve as a consulting producer on this series, so you know he will not let Judge fake the funk. The music was wild, and so were the artists, it will be pretty dope to hear their stories from the people that knew them best. If you have any interest in funk music and these artists, we believe that it’s a must see. You will never know what these individuals got themselves into behind the scenes in the tour bus. You may have heard a few things, but let’s hear things you probably haven’t! As far as animation goes, the art looks top notch. Remember, these greats were not just music legends, but characters in their own right. Check out the trailer for the season below and tune in on November 2nd at 10pm EST for the season’s first episode. Pass the popcorn please.
