PREMIERE: Tall Black Guy – We Rollin’ For You

Premiering on Flea Market Funk today we have the one and only Tall Black Guy with another head-nodder of a track to start the weekend off right with. “We Rollin’ For You” is no ordinary track. Created to celebrate and remember his friend and collaborator, Sweden’s DJ Devastate, this track is a perfect tribute. Although they had never worked together, they were close to collaborating before Devastate’s untimely passing. TBL put together this project as a tribute to the fallen deejay and talented soul. Using his Midas Touch to create this track that would not only capture the spirit of Devastate but hold his true essence on a track for the world to hear, the listener gets three versions, with an original track plus two remixes by Sweden’s Ion Zaar and Max I Million. The original track features live guitar and saxophone via Seb Zillner (Saxophone) and Simon Martinez (Guitar), a beautiful and layered composition with neck-snapping drums and a vocal stab that create an atmosphere of floating. The track bobs and weaves lovely and with the edition of the two remixes (added as a medley style track on the 45/ separate digital tracks on download) it’s another winner from Tall Black Guy. With a limited run of 500 pieces pressed on baby blue vinyl this one stands out in a crowd. The cover art was done by the renowned Swedish street artist Delicious Brain, which adds to the overall vibe of the project. Listen to all three tracks streaming below and purchase after the stream.
