Hey Los Angeles and the LA area! What are you doing on Tuesday, March 16th? Here’s something you won’t even have to leave your chair, computer desk, or bed to do. Flea Market Funk will be guesting on the esteemed KPFK 90.7 in LA on 3/16 at 11 am PST (2 pm EST) on the World Famous Soundwaves Radio Show. This is episode 620 of the eclectic show and we’re honored and humbled to be asked to play a half-hour set by hosts Seano and Val the Vandle. We’ll be alongside some heavy-hitting guests in Supreme La Rock and Rev Shines who will be dropping some heat as well. It’s been about 9 months or so since we’ve been on the airwaves in the City of Angels and we’re pretty well chuffed to play our brand of Flea Market Funk vinyl goodness for the people.
This time, we’re digging deep into our crates to bring well-rounded beat-oriented music from across the globe to the airwaves. Always digging and always striving to put out some heavy and interesting records into these sets, we’ll be showcasing a folk/psych/prog/ jazzy side of our minds on this session. We are excited to share this with KPFK and essentially the world, as the station also streams live online as well. So, if you want to get a heady, groove-oriented all vinyl mix of some of the old and some of the new, you can hear it two ways. If you’re in the Los Angeles area, tune into KPFK at 90.7 on your FM dial at 11 am PST. If you’re not in the area, point your browser to KPFK.org and stream the show live from your computer, phone, or tablet. Support independent free-form radio and dig some new sounds you may not have heard before. Let us know what you think of the set if you tune in!
Tune into the show here on Tuesday 3/16 11 am PST.
